After listening to *Indigo*, going back to *Mono* felt like entering a whole different vibe. It hit me with this calm, introspective mood that felt more like a journal of his thoughts during tough times. Tracks like “Tokyo” and “Seoul” made me feel super sad, like I was floating through RM’s inner world. “Forever Rain” especially got me—it’s so soothing yet heavy, perfect for when you’re in your feels. And I have to admit I didn’t get it on the first listen but wow what a beautiful song. The album felt like an emotional safe space.
Even though I’ve been very vocal about how I prefer longer albums. I loved how minimalist the album was.
There’s less focus on collaborations and more on RM’s inner voice. It’s raw, meditative, and perfect for when you need something chill but thoughtful. It doesn’t try too hard—it just *is*, and that’s the beauty of it. It feels more like a quiet late-night conversation with yourself.
Tokyo, Seoul and Uhgood and Badbye (okay maybe everything) are such beautiful songs. I really love listening to RM’s slower songs and then I pair it with V’s or Blueside from Jhope and Snooze/Polar night form Yoongi…they make me feel very calm and i enjoy working with it. These songs have such good composition and carry beautiful stories that touch the heart. Whether about love, life or even politics.
Then when i feel like dancing, i listen to their upbeat songs and Like Crazy or some songs from Golden. My favorite Golden song is Yes/No because I really enjoy calmer music and somehow it reminds me of Jungkook’s Decalcomania
