JIMIN(bts) *FACE * Album REVIEW!

OKAY, y’all. So after diving into Jimin’s album *FACE*, let me just say: I’m SHOOK. This album?? It’s a whole experience. I wasn’t ready for the emotional rollercoaster this man was about to take me on, but here we are, and I’m obsessed. So, buckle up while I break down each track and how it made me feel, because this one really hit different.

FACE OFF – Starting off strong!
First of all, can we talk about the bassline?Like, excuse me?? It had me vibing instantly. It’s got this slick R&B energy, but the lyrics are where it gets wild. It feels like he’s throwing shade and talking about cutting people off who didn’t have his back. There’s definitely some double meanings going on here—*face-off* could be about facing his inner demons AND calling out fake people. The attitude is real, and I was HERE for it.

INTERLUDE: DIVE
– A breather (but kinda spooky?)
Okay, this was an interesting one. It’s like a little pause between all the emotions, but it’s also giving mysterious, almost eerie vibes. You can hear water sounds and it’s kind of trippy? It’s not a full song, more like a mood shift. It’s like you’re diving into the unknown… fitting title.

LIKE CRAZY – Crying in the club energy

Okay, THIS is the track. This song hit me in the feels, but also made me want to dance. Jimin’s voice is so soft, but the beat has that 80s synth-pop vibe that just… wow. It’s giving me major “I’m going through something, but I’m still vibing” energy. The lyrics are about being lost in a feeling, and who can’t relate to that?? The hook is addictive and you can feel the emotion in every note. My favorite part? The way he sings *”I’d rather be lost in the lights.”* Same, Jimin, SAME.

ALONE
– One of the more vulnerable moments on the album, Jimin’s vocal delivery here is haunting, almost fragile, yet conveys a deep emotional weight.
Someone hug this man!!
This one. OOF. He went deep here, and I was not ready. It’s slow, it’s sad, and I could feel the loneliness creeping in through his voice. The stripped-back production just lets his vocals take over, and it’s heart-wrenching. It’s that late-night, lying-in-bed, existential-crisis type song, and I might’ve teared up a bit🥺No shame. The way he opens up about feeling isolated, and it’s so raw and honest. Like, Jimin, I don’t know you but i got you. 🫂
If u have been reading my reviews you already know this became my favorite on the first listen 🫶🏾🥹

SET ME FREE PT.2
– Its giving main character vibes!

This one is a whole anthem. When I say Jimin went OFF… He went OFF. It’s got this huge choir sound behind him, and the beat goes HARD. The energy here felt like it’s all about breaking free from whatever is holding you back, and he makes you believe it. What impressed me the most is how he’s switching it up, going from soft vocals to rapping. Honestly, he sounds like he’s telling the world, “I’m here, and you can’t stop me,” and I felt that. 👏🏾
I also have to say I felt like the production might have went a little*too* hard, to the point where it drowned out his voice a bit.

LIKE CRAZY (English Version)” – International king!

.😅 I love how he’s giving international fans something extra, but nothing feels lost in translation. As someone international, i will always appreciate the English songs 🫶🏾

Okay so…. six tracks??That’s like giving us a bite of cake and then taking the whole thing away. 😩 We get it, quality over quantity—but come on, I love length. Like, throw us another track or two. I still believe an album should be at least 16 tracks!!
I see this too often with almost all the albums from Suga,RM ,Jung kook & V. All the albums are tooo short!

FINAL THOUGHTS.

Honestly, *FACE* is such a vibe from start to finish. Jimin really showed off his versatility—he’s soft and delicate one minute, then fierce the next. What impressed me the most? His vocals, duh, but also how each song has layers. The production is tight, but the emotions are what really got me. You can tell he put his heart into it and it shows.

In *Face-off* and *Set Me Free Pt. 2.* He’s talking about freedom, but is it from the industry, his own fears, or both? 👀
Okay that’s it🫶🏾If you’ve got a few cents to spare, please support my blog on coindrop.help keep my reviews coming!Every little bit keeps the beats and content coming!”

  1. Did you know there was a hidden track on Face which Jimin wrote for the fans and later performed live. His voice so soft and beautiful on that song
